I am retired after nearly forty years in university administration. I now work part-time online as a professional book reviewer. http://www.bookreviewers.org/ I particularly enjoy providing support to new authors, as possible. I participate in the musical part, especially, of church.
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:
a forum to help publicize authors through their writings, if I can. Our site is well established and known for supporting new authors. We take pride that you may not recognize the name(s) of our authors...because we are working to get that name better known! It is difficult to become a published author. If you have taken the initiative to self-publish, we applaud that effort and help you as much as we can!
I'm not bragging. . .Well, yes I am. I believe I have the most eclectic Group--outofourshells--and People connections than any grouping on Gather.
It has been my pleasure to find and invite new people to mingle with those who have been with me for a while. It is my wish for you to use these groupings to your advantage. If you have a group of your own, please think of outofourshells as a second home. If you belong to other groups, please think of outofourshells when you publish. Anyone is welcome to join as long as they agree with the Group's description--which is mainly to show respect and to remember arguing is not the same as fighting. It is more akin to debating.
I have tried to attract as diverse a population as possible. I want our group and connections to to educate--as well as--learn from each other.

I just stopped by to say "Hello." Schmoozing at the same time. Are you a member of that church they raided in Texas? Ha! I don't understand how women can go along with such treatment. The kids are so divorced from normal society you wonder if they will ever be able to adjust, or get the chance to. Criminal.

Yeah, I don't get to watch much TV, by the time its my turn I watch what every one else is so I read my nora books, lol... they're like mini vacations anyway so what the heck. I think thats y I like garther so much too! Its here when I am :o)
